Dennis L. Martire

Dennis L. Martire attended West Virginia Wesleyan College, graduating in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree focused on government. Just a few years later, he started work with the Laborers’ International Union of North America -- a tenure that would encompass the next several decades of his professional life.

Already as a member of his local union chapter in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area -- Local Union #1058 -- Martire pursued a role with LIUNA. A role where he could make a difference to his fellow labor union workers. He began with LIUNA in 1990 as an international representative and gradually grow to increasingly challenging roles within the next decade-plus. By 2000, he was appointed to the role of assistant regional manager in the mid-Atlantic area. And only two years later, he was elected as that area’s vice president and regional manager.

This sharp advancement within his LIUNA career speaks volumes about his dedication to the labor union workforce and his ability to improve working conditions, wages and jobs across the mid-Atlantic region.
